The Harman PC 45 Corn Stove from Harman Stove Company is specifically designed to burn corn, although it also can be fitted to burn wood pellets.

Because corn melts and fuses as it burns, the PC 45 uses agitators to break up the corn so it burns more completely. Corn can also plug or clog stoves, so they shut down within days or even hours, but in tests the PC 45 burned for more than 50 days without attention, other than emptying the ashes. The direct-vent stove, which puts out up to 45,000 BTUs, has an automatic ignition that lights the corn in less than five minutes. The hopper holds up to 80 pounds of corn.

Founders Mark Drisdelle and Claude Lapointe spent eight years developing an efficient, virtually smoke-free burning technology called Greenfire, which is used by the Europa 75.

Greenfire burns natural biomass materials like shelled corn, hulled wheat and wood pellets with 86-percent efficiency. The technology is also clean; certified by the EPA, the Europa 75 received the lowest emissions rating of any non-catalytic product in EPA history. The stove's hopper can hold enough fuel to burn for three days at 8,500 BTU per hour (34,000 BTU max).
