Cool Metal Eagle River AK

The roof over your head in Eagle River could be costing you money in more ways than one. It's not something you usually think about in the winter, especially if you've got snow up to your eaves, but in just a few months the sun will be beating down on your roof, warming first your attic, then the rest of your home. And that could cost you when the summer cooling bills start arriving in your mailbox.

Cool Metal

The roof over your head could be costing you money in more ways than one. It's not something you usually think about in the winter, especially if you've got snow up to your eaves, but in just a few months the sun will be beating down on your roof, warming first your attic, then the rest of your home. And that could cost you when the summer cooling bills start arriving in your mailbox.

Fortunately, good things are happening up on the roof. Met-Tile, for instance, recently introduced its Cool Roof metal-tile roof panels, which help cut residential energy bills by reflecting the sun's heating rays. In addition, the panels stand up to winds of more than 230 miles per hour, are resistant to rot and fire, and require minimal maintenance.

A new Super Cool coating is applied to the metal roofing panels to make them more reflective. The more of the sun's energy they reflect, the cooler your roof - and the lower your energy bills - will be.

Cool Roof panels meet, and in many cases exceed, Energy Star requirements. They're available in a variety of colors and styles, in widths of 3 feet and lengths from 2 to 20 feet. Plus, installation of a cool roof may qualify for a $500 tax credit under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (which expires at the end of this year).
